Elbert Grant

Elbert Grant, 99, of Falling Water, passed away November 10, 2018. He was a member and Deacon at the Falling Water Baptist Church. Mr. Grant was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II, he received the Purple Heart from being wounded during battle. He retired from Carpenters Local Union 74.

His wife, Alma L. Grant; son, William Earl Grant and two daughters-in-law, Mary “Sis” Grant and Janet Grant preceded him in death.

Elbert is survived by his son, Wade Grant; two daughters, Betty (Paul) Smith, Faye (Mike) Sneed; two brothers, Clinton and Don Grant; sister, Carrie Wollam; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

His family requests memorial donations to the Falling Water Baptist Church, 523 Roberts Mill Road, Hixson, TN 37343.

Visitation is 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Taylor and Pastor Frank Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
