Edith Bearden

Edith Bearden, 91, of Soddy Daisy, passed away November 26, 2018. She was a member of the Falling Water Baptist Tabernacle. Ms. Bearden retired from Signal Knitting Mill and worked at Olan Mills for several years after her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Eugene “Gene” Bearden, Jr.; parents, John and Maybell Waters; sisters, Vera (Edwin) Purcell, Geraldine (Bobby) Bell and a great-granddaughter, Hayley Bearden.

She is survived by her children, Rex (Debbie) Bearden, Ronnie Bearden, Barbara (Larry) Gravett, Karen (Steve) Worley; brothers, J.C. (Carolyn) Waters, L.D. (Ruth) Waters, Delano Waters; sisters, Irene Satterfield, Pearl (Woody) Noles; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Friday. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Wrinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Her grandsons and great-grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
