Earl Reno

Earl Reno, 88, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018. He was a member of Mile Straight Baptist Church. Earl was a strong man of faith and very active in his church. He earned doctorates from both Tennessee Temple University and Covenant Theological Seminary. A veteran of the Korean War, Earl served his country in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. He retired from TVA and the Teamsters Local 515. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eunice and Edna Reno; brother, Bobby Reno and sister, Virginia Jo Reno Merritt.

Survivors are his loving wife of 65 years, Lorene Reno; daughter Susan Reno-Gilliland (Rick) of Adairsville, GA; brother, Jimmie Reno (Thelma); sisters, Shelby Reno Davidson (Bill) of Soddy-Daisy and Betty Reno Crabtree of Red Bank; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Tommy Goss and Dr. Al Goss officiating. Burial will be at National Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family invites memorial donations to the Mile Straight Baptist Church Building fund at 8448 Springfield Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
