Sonny Smith

Dennis “Sonny” Smith, 75, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, passed away on August 4, 2022. He had been a member of the North Hamilton Church of Christ. Sonny was a United States Marine Corp Reserves Veteran. He retired from Dupont after thirty-eight years of service.

His daughter, Leah Smith Morris, parents, Clinton and Mildred Goins Smith and a sister, Barbara Norris preceded him in death.
 
Sonny is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Janie Hughes Smith; sister, Brenda (David) Smith; brother-in-law, Hue Don Norris; grandsons, Alec, Evan and Elijah Morris along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation is 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Minister David Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton memorial Gardens.
