Delwin Tanner
Delwin “Red” Tanner, 86, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away August 30, 2018. He retired from the Railroad after forty one years of service. He was a member of the Soddy Masonic Lodge #418 F&AM and the Alhambra Shrine Temple. Red was a well-known avid bass fisherman, a former President of the CBA and a volunteer for many of the Bass Tournaments that were held in the Chattanooga area.
He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Lamar Tanner, a daughter, Cindy Bingham and his parents, William and Dorothy Tanner.
He is survived by his wife of sixty two years, Sue Tanner; a daughter, Delwyna Harvey; a brother, Roy Tanner along with three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Most of all, Delwin loved his family and they loved him. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation is 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home. There will be a private burial following the service.
