Delores "Gert" Marie Globosky

Delores (Gert) Globosky, 79, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on March 18, 2020. She was born January 14, 1941, in Rillton, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Maude Holderbaum Globosky.

Delores lived in Ohio for many years and was employed by the United States Postal Service. She left her job with the Post Office to move back to Pennsylvania to take care of her mother. During that time she was the Pastor of Deliverance Tabernacle in New Stanton, Pennsylvania, before retiring and spending the last of her years in Hixson, with her nephew Bill, and his family. 

“Gert”, as her family referred to her as, is the last of her mother’s children to join them in heaven. She loved the Lord and spent many years giving back to him, with being an example of a Christ follower. She had a peaceful spirit when talking and brought a calmness to all that engaged with her. She was a very independent woman that helped many through her life on earth.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Maude Globosky; siblings, Patricia Troy, Frank Sr. (Liz) Globosky, and Richard “Luke” Globosky; as well as her caretaker, LuAnne West.

She is survived by her nephews, Bill West, Frank Jr. (Judy) Globosky, James (Kris) Globosky, and one niece, Lori Hess (Paul) Toles; Brother in law, Joe Troy; five great nephews and one great niece; as well as many other loving family members.

 She will be missed by all on this earth, but she is rejoicing with her Lord and her family. Services will be private, with the family, at a later time in Pennsylvania.
