Daniel Perry “Danny” Sanders, 71, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He belonged to the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 43and had retired from TVA after many years of service. He was a past Potentate of the Alhambra Shrine and a member of East Ridge Masonic Lodge #755 F.&A.M. and a past president of the Red Fez Shrine Club. Danny was a fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers and was an avid boater, hunter and fisherman. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents James and Orstine Sanders and brother, Bobby Sanders.

Survivors are his wife of 33 years, Susan Sanders; sister, Linda Higgins; nephews, Mark Sanders and Jacob Higgins; niece, Jessica Higgins and extended family.

The family will have a private service followed by interment in the National Cemetery.

Special thanks and appreciation go out to Memorial Hospital, Life Care of Hixson and Hospice of Chattanooga.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Children Hospital.
