Daniel Powers

Daniel Ralph Powers SR., born Dec. 15 1951 (AKA Danny, Dan, Houdini and several additional nick names over the years). Resting peacefully after battling lung cancer May 5th 2020, at home with wife and children by his side. Words cannot express just how much he was loved by family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred Thomas and Geneva Louise Powers, his sister JoAnn and a brother Kenneth. Leaving behind and living on through, his wife Laura Piercy Powers of 31years. 7 children: Denny and wife Christy, Shannon and husband David Waldon, Allan and wife Leslie, Richard and fiancée Brittney, Daniel Jr, John and wife Cierra, and Hannah. 19 Grandchildren and 15 Great grand babies. Three sisters: Margaret (Margie) Waterhouse, Sharon McCarthy, Rebecca (Becky) Cameron. One brother: Melburn (Mel) Powers. Many nephews and nieces.
His family is going to have a private celebration of life due to COVID 19 restrictions.

Houdini asked me to tell you two things: He was a simple man, doing best he knew how, with what he had. He loved his children very much and was not always the father he felt he should have been, but so proud of each and every one of them.
