Clara "Mamaw" Genevieve Ramsey

Clara “Mamaw” Ramsey, of Lewis Chapel Mountain, passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was 76. Clara “Mamaw “ spent most of her life farming and working with produce. She spent countless hours in the fruit stand owned by her and Doyle, known as Ramsey’s Produce. There have been countless, lasting friendships built during her doing what she loved.

Clara is preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Lori Thomas; brothers, Charles Thomas and  Boyd Thomas; son-in-law, James Elrod Sr. : granddaughter, Jennifer Marshall; grandson, Matthew Swafford.

 She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Doyle Ramsey; son, Michael (Sherry) Ramsey; daughters, Kelly Elrod, Brenda (Gene) Kerns, Linda (Tim) Denton, Eva (Junior) Ables; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and extended family as well as many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 2th, 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee. Service will be Sunday, July 3rd at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Leroy Smith officiating. Internment will follow at Granny Walker Cemetery.
