Charles Edward Sims

Charles Sims, 84, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Charlie was a loving husband and father. He never met a stranger and loved life. He saw things in people that they couldn’t see in themselves.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Guy Sims and Minnie Whited Sims; daughter, Kathy Lynn Posey; son, James Ricky Sims; grandson, Steven Brian Sims; and brothers, James Odell Sims and Victor Kenneth Sims.

Survivors are his wife, Rebecca Leffew Sims; sons, Charles Steven Sims and Ronald Edwards Sims; sisters, Edna Smith and Dot Evans; grandchildren, Sonya Sims, Daniel Brent Sims, David Kent Sims, and Donnie Dillard; as well as several nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Services will be private with the family.
