Pete Burns

Charles “Pete” Burns, 77, of Soddy Daisy, passed away February 14, 2020. He was a member and Deacon at Green Pond Baptist Church. Pete served our Country in the United States Army.

His first wife, Betty Ruth Burns; parents, Hargis and Vickie Burns and two grandsons, Michael and Timothy Burns, preceded him in death.

Pete was survived by his wife, Betty Burns; his children, Jimmy (Amy) Burns and Melissa (Mike) Middleton; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters and a special friend, Delen Wright.

Visitation is 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Green Pond Baptist Church, his body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
