Cecil Rice

Cecil Steele Rice, Sr., 71, of Soddy Daisy, passed away May 24, 2019.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Post #203. He retired from TVA and was a member of Pipefitters Union Local #43.

His parents, Ernest and Sarah Rice and a granddaughter, Audra Herpy, preceded him in death.

He was survived by his wife, Virgie Mae Nelson Rice; sons, Cecil S. Rice, Jr., Preston (Michelle) Rice, Adam Wayne Rice; brother, Archie Rice, Sister, Evelyn Newell, granddaughters, Shawna Herpy, Alysha Rice, Jenna Rice, Beth Whaley and a great-granddaughter Tinsley Herpy.

Visitation is 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors.
