Gene Jones

Calvin Eugene “Gene” Jones, 91, of Hixson, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021. He was of the Baptist faith. Gene served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a special agent for the Southern Railroad before coming back to Chattanooga and running Jone’s Greenhouses. After that he was a cattle farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Jones and son, Calvin Eugene Jones, Jr.

Survivors are his children, Sharon Jones Ramsey and Randy Jones (Karen); granddaughter, Brittany Jones Kolodziej (Mike); great grandson, Watson James Kolodziej; several nieces, nephew and extended family.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Terry Shannon officiating. There will not be a visitation.
