Brenda McWilliams Gann, 73, of Soddy-Daisy, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2020. Brenda was an avid sewer, crafter and an excellent cook. She could always make something out of nothing. She was also a handy woman and there wasn’t anything she could not fix. Brenda was a member of the Circle of Three Trio where they would sing praises to the Lord. After many years of working at Stardust Cruisers, she was able to pursue her passion of nursing. She became a LPN where she worked for Dr. E. Wayne Gilley and later retired from the Chattanooga Heart Institute. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer McWilliams and her husband, Dwight “Meatball” Gann.
Survivors are her mother, Marietta McWilliams; son, Jeff Gann (Pam); daughter, Rebecca Gann Tucker; grandchildren, Laura Beth Edwards (Jake), Megan Nunley (Brock), Alisha Goins (Justin), Joseph Tucker (Tiffany) and Sean Tucker; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Carol Vaughn (Ron) and Anita Dodd (Warren); many beloved family members; lifelong friends, Janice Francisco and Nancye Wilson Chambers.
Services will be on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Calvin Nunley officiating. Burial will follow at East Soddy Community Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
