Bobby Legg

Bobby Legg, 83, of Sale Creek, went to be with the Lord, August 15, 2019. Bobby was born to the late William B. Legg and Bessie Duncan Legg in Soddy Daisy. He spent all of his life in North Hamilton County. He also had two brothers and four sisters that preceded him in death.

Bobby was survived by his wife of sixty five years, Betty Standifer Legg; his two children, LuAnne (Tony) Reavley and Steven (Lisa) Legg; his granddaughter, Makinzie Reavley Petty (Josh); a sister, Irene Ammons and several nieces and nephews.

He loved his Lord, his family and sports, especially the Los Angeles Dodgers and Lady Vols Basketball. He loved playing basketball and baseball and was named to the All County Team for both sports at Sale Creek High School where he graduated. He was an Ordained Baptist Deacon and actively served where the Lord led him until becoming inactive because of his health. He was a member of the Lake Drive Baptist Church in Sale Creek.

Bobby served in the National Guard Tennessee Armored Division Company out of Dayton, Tennessee for eight years. He was a Charter Member of the Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department and the Soddy Daisy Kids Club where he coached basketball, softball and little league baseball.

Visitation is 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 19, 2019 in Standifer Cemetery.
