Blanche Monroe

Blanche Grant Monroe, 92, of Sale Creek, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019. She was a member of Lake Drive Baptist Church and retired from DuPont after 32 years of service. Blanche loved hummingbirds, flowers, gardening and canning. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Willard, Clark, Archie, Ray, Theodore and Percy Grant; sisters, Iva, Mae, Nina, Marie and Wilma and niece, Patty Chaffin.

Survivors are her husband of 64 years, E.W. Monroe; nephews, Sam Williams (Shirley), Dwight Williams and Jerry Chaffin; great nephews and nieces, Sammy Williams (Janet), Cindy Holmes (Tony), Andrea Powell (Levon) and Jennifer Williams Cheryl and Mark Monroe; many great great nephews and nieces and extended family.

Services will be on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
