Billy Dean Gage
Born July 9, 1931 went home to be with his Lord on November 9, 2017. He passed away peacefully in Hixson, TN at the home of his son Mark and daughter in law Renee with whom he lived for the past year.
He was also father to Craig D. Gage (wife Mary) of Davisburg, MI
Billy has four Grandchildren; Andrew Gage (wife Jessica) of Chattanooga, TN, Shelley Espino (husband Mike) of Hixson, TN, Laura Skowron (husband David) of Hixson, TN, and Lisa Miles (husband Matthew) of Johnson City, TN. He has 6 Great grandchildren; Montgomery Gage, Zora Gage, Taylor Skowron, Ethan Skowron, Kylie Espino, and Odom Miles.
He was Brother of Rufus Gage (Counce, TN), Barbara Williams (Bono, AR), and Glenda Wilkins (Bono, AR)
He was preceded in Death by his parents William Clyde Gage and Gladys Minton Gage Burris and his wife of 52 years, Garneita Jean Montgomery Gage.
Billy graduated High School from Bono (AR) High School in 1950 and was a veteran of the US Air Force (1951-1954). He moved to Pontiac, MI in 1955 with his wife Jean and worked at Waterford Fuel and Supply Company from 1955 to 1976. He then went to work as a Truck Repairman at General Motors in Pontiac, MI until he retired in 1996. He resided with his family in Clarkston, MI from 1960 until 2016 when he moved to Tennessee. Billy was a Deacon at Scott Lake Baptist Church in Waterford, MI.
Viewing will be 4 to 7 PM Friday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home and at Gregg Funeral home in Jonesboro, Arkansas on Sunday November 12, from 5 to 8 PM. Funeral will be at 11am on Monday also at Gregg Funeral home. He will be buried in Herman Cemetery in Bono, AR next to his beloved wife Jean.
