Billy Clendenen

Billy Ray Clendenen, 79, of Sale Creek, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018. He was a longtime resident of Sale Creek and member of Coulterville Baptist Church. Billy was a member of the Sale Creek Lions Club and a founding member of the Sale Creek Fire Department. He was an operator with Norfolk Southern for 25 years and served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 16 years. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Gladys Clendenen.

Survivors are his wife, Rita McClendon Clendenen; sons, Mike Clendenen (Missy) and Lloyd “Bodie” Clendenen (Wendy); daughters, Michelle Shaw (Brad) and Becky Mitchell (Michael); sister, Margaret Godfrey; grandchildren, Katherine Clendenen, Denver Clendenen, William Clendenen and Barrett Clendenen; several nieces and nephews and his dog, Daisy.

Services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
