Billy Burroughs

Billy Burroughs, Sr. 82, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018. He was born on March 13, 1935 in Soddy, Tennessee. Billy owned the Midway Grocery in Soddy. He attended Middle Valley Methodist Church and later the Middle Valley Church of God. He loved his church family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Louise Burroughs and a brother, Charles Burroughs.

He is survived by his wife of sixty four years, Lora Coulter Burroughs; son, Butch Burroughs; brother, Kenneth Burroughs and wife, Lynda; two grandchildren, Sabrina Striker and Ty Striker; aunt, Irene Thomas Ammons and an uncle, Bobby Legg.

The family wishes to thank cousin, Joy Welch, friends, Wanda Fleming, Elizabeth Cronan and Sandy Miller; Hospice of Chattanooga, and their caregivers, Whitney, Connie, Kathy and others.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Bishop Mitch McClure and Pastor Craig Paul officiating. Burial will follow in Welsh-Rogers Cemetery. Visitation is 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
