Betty Miller

Betty June Miller, 90, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, passed away March 4, 2018. Betty was the 1945 Valedictorian of the graduating class at Soddy Daisy High School. She went on and worked at Memorial Hospital and Tennessee Home Health Care for many years.
She was a member of Rechoboth Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for most of her life and was involved in the Child Evangelism Fellowship for over sixty years where she was instrumental in the establishment of the Bible Club for kids in our local schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Duke Miller, Sr., her parents, Earl and Martha Elder; a grandson, Keith Patterson; a sister, Shirley Lorraine Miller; a brother, William Earl Elder and a son-in-law, Dean Patterson.

Betty is survived by her children, Kenneth (Akiko) Miller, Juanita Patterson and Ed (Julie) Miller, Jr.; her grandchildren, Eric Miller, Michael, Michelle, Jason and Kenny Patterson and Katie and Jonathan Miller; her great-grandchildren, Heather and Jessica Patterson, Bri Boyd, Hunter and Josh Patterson and Alex and Gabrielle Cash; and two great-great-grandchildren, Tucker and Drake Cash.

Visitation is 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. The service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Rechoboth Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Stewart officiating. Her body will lie in state from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Hamilton County Memorial Park.
