Betty Newman Coffelt

Betty Jean Newman Coffelt, 79, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019. She lived most of her life in Soddy-Daisy and was a chiropractic receptionist for her husband, Dr. Joe Coffelt and Dr. Jeffrey Hamilton. Betty loved to sew, cross stitch and feed animals. She was a champion bowler and an avid fan of the Tennessee Vols. She enjoyed watching basketball and football. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joe Coffelt; parents, William “Doogle” Newman, Sr. and Gladys Smith Newman and her brother, William D. Newman, Jr.

Survivors are her children, Deborah Natale (Anthony) and Greg Coffelt (Tammy); sister, Nancy Uren; brother, Larry Newman; grandchildren, Grace and Alice Natale and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
