Betty Louise Ball

Betty Griffith Ball, 93, of Soddy Daisy, went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a devoted member of Christ Family Church. A consummate wife, mother and homemaker, Betty was an excellent cook and enjoyed making meals and desserts for her family and friends. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Harlan Ray Ball; parents, Hoyt and Nellie Tanner Griffith and sister, Marie Griffith McDowell. Betty is survived by her four children, Belinda Holt of Chattanooga, TN; Daniel (Susan) Ball of Dallas, TX; David (Pat) Ball of Geraldine, AL; and Rebecca (Mitch) Underwood of Signal Mountain, TN; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Hoyt Griffith of West Plains, MO and sister, Pamela Harne of Smithsburg, MD.
Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. Friday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 10:30 A.M. Friday, July 19, 2019 in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Bishop Calvin Nunley officiating.
Her family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Betty’s name to Christ Family Church, P.O. Box 1149, Soddy Daisy, TN 37384 for any special project.
