Barry Hunter Bradley

May 10, 1968 ~ July 7, 2018 (age 50)

This is the story of Barry Bradley. Barry was loved, is missed and will forever be

cherished. Barry inherited his father’s sense of humor and had impeccable comedic

timing that no one could resist. It was a rare encounter with Barry that did not include

laughter. “Barryisms” became a common term among family and friends. Barry was born

on May 10, 1968 to Hunter (deceased) and Sue Bradley. He was the brother of Jana

Keil (Mark), David Bradley (Tuesday Reese) and Jason Bradley (Gina Hatfield). He was

a favorite uncle and a beloved grandson.

Barry loved his daughters 2nd LT Samantha Turner (Zach) and Sydney Bradley. Many hours were spent with them at “Meemaw & Peepaw’s Place” celebrating, playing, riding in the golf cart and swinging in the hammock. Barry’s memory and legacy will live on through these two extraordinary young women.

Barry dearly loved his wife Arlene and she loved him the same. They were married for

12 years and created a loving home where family and friends were cared for and always

welcome. Barry loved and was loved by his extended family, particularly Arlene’s

mother whom he called “Mother Bird”.

Barry had a laundry list of careers and hobbies. He had an uncanny gift for numbers. He

loved to golf and fish. He worked on boat propellers, was an EMT, a landscape artist,

performed under water rescues, researched concrete additives, installed pools,

travelled the country, repaired vehicles, drove tractors, raced go karts and loved camp fires. Barry was a storyteller who could laugh at himself and had a giving heart that continues to give even beyond his time here on earth.

Barry’s faith in Jesus carried him through some of his darkest days. It was Barry’s

greatest desire to live a full life, to enjoy his friends and love his family. On July 7, 2018

Barry sought and found eternal peace in the presence of The Lord. Those who knew

him, loved him.

Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Alan Stewart presiding. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
