Barbara Wormsley

Barbara Jean Wormsley, 72, passed away on September 25, 2019. She was a graduate of Soddy Daisy High School, collector of Boyds Bears, member of Union Springs Baptist Church, and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, John Anthony Wormsley, brother, Jim Johnson, sister, Francis Haddock, and grandson, Ricky Griffin.

Survivors are her husband of 53 years, Jerry Wormsley; children, Jeffrey (Kathy) Wormsley, Cindy (Jack) Whitley, and Scott (Cindy) Wormsley; brother, Robert (Jesse) Johnson; brother and sister in law, Lee Wormsley and Anne Adams. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Randy Griffin, Tonya Whitley, Mark Whitley, Adam Whitley, and Amy Whitley; great grandsons, Christopher Griffin and Kamden Whitley Williams; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation is Friday, September 27, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. O’Dell Broadway presiding. Burial will follow at Levi Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Corey Stapleton, Jack Whitley, Jim Gifford, Mark Whitley, Ricky Miller, Joey Wormsley, Logan Stapleton and Levi Stapleton.
