Arthur Hart

Arthur Lafayette “Shug” Hart, 76, of Hixson, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Shug worked as a commercial fisherman and was the owner/operator of Hart’s Construction. Shug was preceded in death by his parents, Roy A. Hart and Nancy Hart Newman; brother, LeRoy Hart; sister, Lou Clayton; sons, Douglas Hart and Troy Hart.

Survivors are his children, Tom “Dale” Hart, Tammy Lewis, Glenda Lewis (Allen) and Kathryn Gillis (Bryan); step-son, Barney Hodge and his mother, Naomi Hart; grandchildren, Courtney Johnson, Angelica Hart, Hannah Hart, Tiffany Gravett, Vincent Dunn, James H. West, Eric West, Timothy West, Payton Gillis, Richard Gillis, Debbie Martin, Nadine Johnson-Miller, 17 great grandchildren ; special friend, Sandy Lewis.

Services will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
