Bill Childers, Sr.

Alvin William “Bill” Childers, Sr., 95, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Soddy-Daisy. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. Bill retired from DuPont after over 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Pickett Childers; parents, Porter L. and Sarah Leopard Childers and 3 sisters.

Survivors are his sons, Bill Childers, Jr. (Janet) and Michael Childers, Sr.; grandsons, Chris Childers (Amanda) and Michael Childers, Jr. (Dawn); great grandchildren, Emma Childers, Lucas Childers, Michael Childers, III and Marie Childers; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private with the family.
