Wanda Jane (Smith) Skiles

Wanda Jane “Smith” Skiles, 81, of Soddy Daisy, TN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends in her home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Skiles, son, Edward Skiles and two grandsons, Wayde Ayers and Brian Dodd. She is also preceded by her parents, Charlie and Gertie “Stewart” Smith.

She is survived by her daughters, Darla Holbert, Shelia (LeRoy) Tate and Patricia Gann, grandchildren, Alise (Tim) Swafford, Charlie Stephens, James Pallas, Spencer Pallas, Phillip Branum, Joshua (Alexis) Tate, Ashton Carter, Christen (Will) Burwick and Katherine Holbert, great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Taylor and Raven Ayers, Brianna and Addison Dodd, Iryona Brooks Tru, Mia and Karmah Swafford, Bryce and Charleigh Jade Stephens, Kensley Sigler, Chloe Branum, Kai Leigh, Jaida Tate, Atticus Freeze and Ryder and Adrielle and Harper Burwick. She is also survived by nieces, Cheryl Buckles, Debbie Matthews, Candy Heaton and Bylinda Bell, as well as many great nieces, nephews and a very special friends and sister, Lutherene Fredrick.

Wanda lived a full life doing what she loved; cooking, crafting, going on vacations, gambling and spending time with her family.

The family would like to thank Jinnifer, Tanya and Rusty with Hearth Hospice and the rest of their wonderful team for being there when they were needed.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Varner Cemetery.
