Sandy Berthold
Sandy, age 72 passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, October 26th after a long battle with COPD and congestive heart failure. Sandy was a caring mother to her two daughters. She loved animals and cared for her Pomeranian, Cassidy who was a great comfort to her. Sandy was a 20 year resident of Soddy-Daisy. After high school Sandy worked for the Pentagon in Washington D.C. where she was an assistant. She later worked for an environmental company and traveled to Hawaii.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, William M. and Lettie Chauncey and two sisters, Patricia Smith and Pamela Chauncey.
She is survived by her brother, Charles Chauncey and sister, Dorothy Gardier.
She was a loving mother to Darlene Case and Lisa Virusso, and grandmother to Alex Rose, Brandon Case, Emily Rose and Brooke Case. She is also survived by a niece and two nephews.
Sandy was very close to her sister Dot and they would spend most afternoons together enjoying lunch and each other's company.
There will be a private ceremony at a later date.
