Raymond Herchel “Bill” Carden, Jr.
Bill went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mattie Carden and his sisters; Debbie Brown, Brenda Sisson, Jo Ann Lowery, and Barbara Price-Davis. Bill was retired from Jake Marshall Company.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Pat Carden; mother –in-law, Helen Gates; son, Bobby (Alisha) Carden; sister, Wanda (PeeWee) Keylon; 2 grandchildren, Maddie and Kenna Carden; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Curly, Chop and Susan.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Caleb Bolton presiding. Burial will follow in Poe Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the funeral home, and then again from 9:00- 11:00 a.m. directly before the service on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will include, Stanley “Curley” Lockhart, Steve “Chop” Lamb, Donnie Roberson, Tommy Post, TJ Post, and Anthony Stewart.
