There are no words to express the love of my family for Leslie. My husband Earl was in and out of the hospital from 2000 to 2003. She saved his life twice during his stays and gave our family hope when there was none. She made him smile when no else could—she was a shining light in the darkness. She was so kind, so intelligent and so pretty. She would call me at home and invite me to church. I am so sorry we lost touch. Now you with the Angels and watching over us. Thank you for everything you did for my family.

Words can not express my sorry for her untimely pass. I am a colleague of hers while working at Erlanger as a hospitalist. She was always supportive to my practices and I have always appreciated her gestures. Over past many years, I have tried to get in touch her and to see if any thing I can do for her but in vain. I miss her greatly. I will alway remember as one of important human being in my life. I wish I could talk to her again one day in the future.

Leslie was always very kind to me, never had a bad thing to say about anyone, and was excellent with her patients in a way that I aspire some day to be.

A genuine soul.

I lit a virtual candle for her on the funeral home's website, but I will light a real one for her tonight.

Godspeed, Leslie.

I knew Leslie in medical school- such a kind heart, so much passion to help others, such a sweet teammate in projects, so smart. The world will miss her goodness. But she is home in heaven now, so I will be thankful for the time I knew her.

I extend my sincere condolences to the Cavallero family on their loss. Jehovah God promises us that through his son Jesus, he will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Revelation 21:3,4
Please take comfort from this promise during your time of bereavement.

Leslie was such a wonderful person ,she was at the hospital when two of my children were in a car accident . My son passed away due to his injuries and my daughter was in critical condition with life threatening injuries and Leslie was at the hospital several times helping us make critical decisions and keeping the doctors and staff on their toes making sure they were doing their jobs correctly ! She even followed up with us weeks later making sure everything was ok, and for this I am forever thankful! She was a lovely and caring person inside and out and will be missed!!! Rip

Leslie was a beautiful soul and my heart goes out to all her family and friends. It’s been a long time since I was able to spend any time with Leslie or see her. The last time was at her wedding. She was so very happy and so beautiful! I was so happy that she was happy and found love. A long time passed and Thoughts of Leslie would come and go- wondering how she was doing, hoping all was well. It’s bittersweet now that I think about it- the last time I talked to Leslie wasn’t that long ago- I passed by her old house on Hixson pike and thoughts of her came to me and so I called her up... unable to reach her I tried to contact her through Facebook- it was late October of 2017- and a few days later she responded and we caught up on each other’s lives and she was very happy and expressed that she was happy for me with what I’ve accomplished since we last spoke. One thing I know for sure I’m so glad I reached out to her and got to talk with her - we never know when it will be our last time. To Leslie’s husband - I want to wish you my deepest condolences and my heart goes out to you. May God hold you and comfort you in this time. To Laurel, I can’t even imagine what you’re feeling right now - parents aren’t suppose to have to experience the loss of a child. My heart goes out to you. You are a great mother and Leslie loved you so. I know you don’t need anyone to tell you that. All my love to you. I’m so very sorry for your loss. To Buster , Leslie’s dad- I had the pleasure of meeting with you once or twice and Leslie loved her dad for sure. My deepest sympathies to you as I can’t imagine what you’re feeling. No words can comfort the loss of your child no matter how old they are. All my love. I had many a great memory of Leslie and I will miss her so! One of my best memories is us sitting in her living room and playing our guitars and singing Delta Dawn and Boondocks by little big town. They were her favorite at the time. Rest In Peace sweet Friend until I see you again. All my love , Margie Lawhorn

Leslie and I were friends at Baylor. She was a great friend and so supportive and upbeat no matter what was going on. I will cherish her friendship forever.
