Joyce Ann Lewis

Joyce Ann “Dobbie” Lewis, 67, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at a local hospital. She loved children and worked in daycare for a time. She also loved being at home as well as many outdoor activities that included gardening, camping, fishing, traveling, and auto racing. She really enjoyed nature in general.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beulah Gilbert; sister, Linda Gilbert; brother, Ronnie Gilbert; daughter, Michelle Lewis; and two newborn children.

Survivors include her husband, Jackie E. Lewis, Sr; son, Jackie (Jessica) Lewis, Jr; sisters, Janice Lewis and Billie Bankston; grandchildren, Terry Stewart, Jr., Jessica Stewart, Noah Lewis, Landon Heath, and Jayden Lewis; two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Minister Ron Gilbert, Jr.. officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, and on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M.
