James David Ware Bentley

James David Bentley, 81, of Hixson TN, went home to be with the lord on April 2, 2024. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area.

James served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Coca-Cola Company for over 30 years. James was a member of Red Bank Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He enjoyed watching football and baseball. Gardening was his passion.

James was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Brooks and Ruby Bentley and brother Jerry Bentley.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Bentley; his children, Kelly (Dan) Varner, David (Joy) Bentley, Brooke (Slade) Martin; his grandchildren Sarah (Justin) Conner, Carter and Addison Bentley, Gauge, Beck, Liv and Ridge Martin and his great granddaughter Raelyn Conner.

Graveside services will be in Chattanooga National on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
