James Wayne Bowers, 63, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. He was of the Baptist faith. He was employed by Forterra Company for 23 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Bowers, Sr. and Addie Bowers; and grandson, Gage Bowers.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Bowers; sons, David Wayne Bowers, Joshua Bowers and Chad Bowers; brother, Ralph Bowers, Jr.; sisters, Sharon Frizzell and Louetta Shortt; grandchildren, Brody, Macie, Bryden, Taja, and Iziah Bowers all of Soddy-Daisy.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Granny Walker Cemetery. Visitation is 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday, May 12, and Saturday, May 13, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M.
