Glenna Mildred Hicks

Glenna Mildred Hicks, 81, born and raised in Chattanooga but moved to Columbiana, Alabama in 2020, passed in her home on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Bart Hicks and Hester Anne Smith Hicks, son, Jimmy Travis Johnson, sisters, Hester Lorene Hicks, Adeline Hicks Rackley, brother, James Alvie Hicks, sisters, Bertha Maud Hicks Cox, Jewell Hicks Ritchey, Eugenia "Gee Gee" Hicks Bluford

Survivors include her daughter, April M. Johnson Morrison, son, Slate (Mitzi) Boyd, brother, Jimmy Scott Hicks, grandchildren, Crystal Stanfield, Jason (Elizabeth Alvarez) Morrison, Brittney Johnson, Lindsey Johnson, and Paytin Boyd, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

She worked at Olan Mills, U. S. Stove and TVA.

In her younger years she loved playing softball. She liked music, art, crocheting and singing and dancing. She loved her plants and her pets. She loved spending time with family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
