Dorotha Shannon Johnson

Dorotha Shannon Johnson, 91, of Hixson, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2017. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Dorotha was happiest when she was around her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Johnson; parents, Cleveland and Hester Shannon; sisters, Isabell Hooks and Frances Morris; brothers, Floyd and Charlie Shannon.

Survivors are her son, Jerry Snyder (Laura); brothers, Ron Shannon and Glenn Shannon; sisters, Jean Vandergriff, Teva Rainey, Edna Shadwick, Nancy Wilson, Reita Pierce and Helen Reel; grandchildren, CJ and Crystal Snyder and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Combs officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
