Dianne Thomas

Delcia Dianne Thomas (Dianne), 61, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee passed away on March 21, 2024 after a 6 month-long battle with cancer, surrounded by many of her family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville H. Thomas, and her mother, Sudie N. Thomas. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, David N. McCormick, her two (2) children, Paul Daniel Copeland and Ashley Michelle Copeland, and by her sister, Cleveah Utt.

Dianne worked as a Registered Nurse for 29 years, working first in the NICU, then in Labor and Delivery, then as an Operating Room nurse, and finally as a Research Coordinator at CHI Memorial.

Dianne’s favorite role was that of mother and grandmother, she loved them all with all her heart. She is survived by five (5) grandchildren, Destin Shelfer, Destiny Copeland, Christian Copeland, Kaleob Copeland, and Aden Radcliff.

Dianne was the light of her family, always smiling, always loving, and always supporting them in whatever they did. She loved animals, especially shelter dogs, photography, traveling, and Diet Pepsi. She had a unique ability to make everyone she met feel loved, and it was genuine, and they knew it.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee.
