Clifford Carden

Clifford Millard Carden, 81, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at home. He attended Shady Grove Baptist Church where he ran the soundboard for many years. He loved riding motorcycles, camping at Chester Frost Park, and traveling all over the U.S.

He was preceded in death his son, Clifford M. Carden, Jr.; brothers, Ed and Donald; sisters, Lucille, Lorraine, and Rita; Debbie Carden Lape; and grandson, Little Jimmy Stamey.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Norma E. Carden; son, Jimmy Stamey; grandson, Jamie Stamey; granddaughter, Jessica Stamey; great niece, Shana Carden Spencer; great granddaughter, Kelsey Stamey; ex-daughter-in-law, Charlene Stamey; nephews, Scottie, Donnie, and Dewayne; niece, Donna Carden, along with several other nieces and nephews; and future great-grandson, Atlas Jernigan.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 8:00 PM. on Monday, June 5, at the funeral home.
